Beautiful illustrations -Thin on Plot

Stunningly beautiful illustrations of children and scenery but watery thin plot. My grandchildren loved the illustrations but this was not a book they wanted me to read over and over because not enough happened. I wanted to love this book because it got good reviews and has magnificent illustrations but I wanted more adventure and intrigue.
