Our Daily Grace is a Christian daily devotional book written for the real world by a real person. Grant Botha, who did also study Theology, is that author, He has faced struggles through life - in work and business, in relationships, finances and family health, many while writing these daily devotions and these devotions have been more of a help to him as the author, as to anyone else. He's intention of writing these was not initially to publish a book but they were sent daily via text message to a few of his friends as encouragement messages. The devotions are short and easy to ready - written in everyday language, understandable by pre-teens and adults alike. An example of a devotion from the book: Mathew 14:29 (NIV) "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.Yes it is true, Peter then didn't do so well and started sinking, he's faith wasn't strong enough but to me that's not the point, the point of the story is this, Jesus told Peter to do something and Peter obeyed, what Jesus told him to do was illogical, "get out of the boat and walk on the water", Peter did it. Sometimes God tells us to do things that may seem illogical, things that may not make sense, when He does, He doesn't expect us to try and work out why or how, He expects us to simply obey. Peter did and when his faith let him down and he started to sink, Jesus caught him and then walked with Him. If we obey God, He will walk with us, it is really the other around, we will be walking with Him because that is where Jesus is, in the direction of obedience.
