What would we think of an influential and wealthy man with a large family who decided to build a partitioned school for his children? One part of this school, to which a smaller portion of his children would go, would be dedicated to excellence in learning, feature the latest educational materials, all presented in an atmosphere of creativity and every encouragement to succeed. The other section of the school, which the larger portion of his children would attend, would hold only fractions of these aspirational elements. Yet at the end of any term, both sectors of the school would share this one unavoidable outcome: examination. Theologians who still hold to the teaching of an eternal hell insist on the portrait of such a Deity, while claiming for Him the virtues that He is all-loving, all-merciful and prescient, meaning that He knew from the outset what was to pass. Our Brilliant Eternity refutes this ill-conceived portrayal of our Heavenly Father.
