This book is truly a gift from God. I could never have imagined writing it on my own. It was placed in my spirit with a purpose. God showed me that there would be people who might never pick up a Bible, but they would read this book and encounter His truth through it.

My journey has been anything but ordinary. I grew up in a blended family. My father had three children, and my mother had four. As a child, I was spoiled, but everything changed when my parents divorced when I was fourteen. Suddenly, the comfort was gone, and I found myself lying about my age just to get a job washing dishes. Looking back now, I realize that experience was one of the best things that could have happened to me.

At the same time, I fell into the grip of drugs, alcohol, and smoking from the age of fourteen until twenty-one. But God stepped in. He filled me with His Holy Spirit, and I was set free. By His grace, I have been clean and sober for over 47 years.

My experiences on the PGA Tour, even crossing paths with Tiger Woods, opened doors I never expected and taught me lessons I now share in these pages. I thank God for allowing me to write this book. It is more than a story. It is a reminder that God's power can transform any life.
