Science Fiction from the Good Old Days

I first read several of the stories in this collection in the 1940's in such "pulp" mags as Startling Stories. For a kid, these stories were great and mind - bending. I loved reading them again years later when this book came out. No great literature will be found therein. But MacDonald's imagination and, often, his character development were marvelous. It's maybe not Heinlein or Asimov, but the stories are adventurous.
