When I was offered a position as a Living Learning Coordinator for the Fall 2011 Voyage - I felt like I had won the lottery. My resume magically plucked by the fickle hand of fate from the arm of serendipity to join the next voyage to circumnavigate the globe.It was a unique opportunity and a once in a lifetime chance to combine my passion for student affairs with my love for international travel? all while getting paid.But choosing to voyage had its costs: I had to leave a job I loved.I needed to take a chance.This was an opportunity to hop around the globe for four months? only to return to find a new job in a still struggling economy: something I wasn't looking forward to.BUT the lure of travel was too great and I was finally pushed over the edge by a combined surge of what some may call optimism and others stupidity and joined up......and it was the best decision I ever made.I probably would never be able to do this again: a prospect that drove me to document the whole journey. So the following are blog entries detailing our 110 days circumnavigating the globe: complied neatly into this single tome for the sole reason of inflating my personal sense of self-esteem from calling myself an ?author.'
