English summary: Oskar Holweck (1924-2007) is one of the great and yet silent protagonists of German post-war art in the environment of artist movements like ZERO and Informel. This publication provides a close look at his work through previously inaccessible sources. Holweck first worked as an assistant to Boris Kleint, and in the following years, until his retirement, as the full-time head of basic teaching at the Staatliche Schule fur Kunst und Handwerk (State School for Art and Crafts) in Saarbrucken. In addition to an independent theory of image and design, he developed an individual mode of artistic expression centered on his work with the material paper. Holweck's uvre includes ink and graphite works, ripped graphics, ripped reliefs, ripped collages, as well as folded and crinkled works. Also there are book objects, wood objects, plexiglass objects, and friction surfaces.
