The day was coming when my children would find out that their

father had been a corrupt, powerful "drug lord" in a famous

Colombian drug cartel. I did not want them to only see that part of

my past identity. Instead, I wanted them to see their father as the

"powerful drug lord" whose life God changed.

After many years of sharing my story with thousands of young

people around the world, a dream was born in my heart to one day

write a shorter book that would tell my story but with a different

focus: not on the life of the former infamous drug lord, but to use the

drug lord's life to focus on life principles.
