Orbits - circular and elliptical - are responsible for generating all universal energy.
The energy released into the debris ejected from the ultimate body during the last 'Big-Bang' was induced as kinetic energy, and when acting together with the potential energy (gravity) between these masses, resulted in orbital structures; galaxies. The magnitude of this energy release (≈7.4E+60 Joules) is the total energy in all of today's universal orbits; atomic and celestial, and will remain as such until the next 'Big-Bang'.
