Nice book for beginners

This book is quite good for the beginners who want to know about fiber optics and its feature. Nevertheless, need to be updated asap.

this book is writen by educator who spend most of time teaching and writing about optical practice.

Great reading, but a little behind the techno curve

As one of three technical books I have purchased on the subject, this rates as the best general reference, even if it is a little pricey. The only complaint I would have is the material is becoming a little dated, with some of the new breakthroughs, technology offerings, etc. It made a great reference for a class I took, providing more examples and explanations than the required reading for the class.

Excellent character development

This is the most complete book that I have read on the subject. An excellent resource, but needs to be updated.
