To ensure growth, the company as an organization transforms itself according to internal decisions and environmental pressures. The adaptability of its personnel, its human flexibility, depends to a large extent on its ability to choose people, to prepare them for new functions and to assign them judiciously, taking into account their aspirations and potential abilities. Moreover, mentalities are changing, in particular attitudes towards work and authority. Work is no longer simply a source of salary and possibly social prestige, but should bring personal development and enrichment. As for authority, it can no longer be considered as an absolute value linked to hierarchical position; it is increasingly based on competence. It has been rightly said that "those who have authority leave the place to those who do authority".As the workforce becomes better educated, its expectations increase, particularly with respect to the opportunities that an organization can provide for individual and professional growth.
