"You've dreamt about me before then," Erik surmised, a strange smile crossing his lips. He was still holding himself off her, their lower bodies not touching at all, but she could feel his heat sear her. Christine thought that perhaps she ought to feel afraid, but honestly she didn't. Whatever this was that was happening between them, she could not feel afraid of Erik. Something deep down inside of her told her to trust him, that he would never truly harm her. But maybe it was best to throw him off his course a little bit, she didn't understand his motives, what it was he might want.
"Mostly nightmares," Christine replied, giving him her dirtiest look, thrusting her chin up at him defiantly.
"Come, Christine. You must know by now it is useless to lie to me." Erik replied, dipping his head down until his thin lips were ghosting over her earlobe. He whispered in his most angelic tone, "I can smell your desire."
