Julia Bauer, a 22-year-old first-year art teacher in a native school, lives with her parents and brother Paul in southern Arizona. After a tragic accident and a personal disappointment, Julia agrees to accompany her grieving mother to visit her sister Elizabeth in New Harmony, Indiana.
