This book was written to introduce a process of daily prayer. Open My Lips, Lord has two aspects to it. First is a number of short chapters on prayer inspired primarily from the Psalms and the Gospels. Second, the actual process of daily prayer is presented for the readers' consideration.

Reading this book may be profitable even if the process does not become a part of a reader's daily prayer.

The author was raised and educated in be Hawai'i, and has lived in California for 50 years. Most importantly, his high school years and college years were spent in the 1960's, a decade of war and peace, faith and religion, human rights, environmental consciousness, and love. Married in 1968, the author and wife have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. Recently retired, the author has more time to reflect on creation, life, faith and eternity.
