Life Is messy but you can clean it up!

Having been a Jane Seymour fan for years I can tell you that the books she has written have saved me from emotional dispair lots of times....I know this to be true because she is my best friend...The strength her words have given me have lasted more than 27 years of friendship, she has a way of making the seemingly impossible possible...that is because she knows how live and how to love all those around her and then she takes on the whole world! She has so much love to give and I know this to be true she has loved me thorough so many tough times... she truely loves us all!

Open Hearts

First off, let me start by saying my girl friend loves this collection of jewelry...if you haven't seen the collection go to your local kay jewelers and check it out! i bought her a necklace and match ear rings from there with the open heart design exactly like the one on the cover of the book! next off is the tattoo for her : ) anyways, back to the review..this is a great and small 5 by 5 inch hard cover book of poetry, stories, quotes and other things of inspiration and guidance when it comes to relationships and love..it is also filled with tons of jane seymour's art work that compliment the book very well. for as cheap as this book is, it had a bigger effect then the $8 and some change i payed for it...she loved the book, she read it all the way through with in the first day! this is a great gift that would compliment another gift you would be buying for a special someone..or you could just by this randomly for your loved one as a "just because" type of gift, just like i did..trust me its better then just buying flowers all the time

I bought this book for several girlfriends. Great thoughts, sweet book to have on a nightstand.

Powerful poetry in a girly wrapper

Perfect for Valentine's Day, this small, square book is certainly feminine. Any man who includes it with roses or chocolates for his sweetheart will get extra Brownie points. Tucked inside is powerful poetry, by ordinary people and iconic writers such as Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Emily Dickinson, Kahlil Gibran, C.S. Lewis, Anne Morrow Lindbergh and William Shakespeare. Browning's "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways" and passages from "Romeo and Juliet" leap off the page in the Romantic chapter. In the Open chapter, a passage from Matthew (18:3) reads: "Unless you become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." One of my favorites is from Rabbi Lawrence Kushner: "Hold up your hands before your eyes. You are looking at the hands of God." Thought-provoking and evocative, these words are worth reading again and again. They'll last longer than the roses or chocolates. A compilation of inspirational passages and poems written by the famous and the ordinary, the colorful pages also include Seymour's paintings of hearts and flowers that inspired her debut jewelry line that features two hearts combined together. A perfect gift!

I love how Jane mixes thoughts from numerous sources, from theologians to poets and even everyday people she has met over the years - creating a compilation that will inspire and uplift without sounding too 'syrupy'. Jane's gorgeous artwork within the book serves as a beautiful accompaniment to the inspirational sentiments as well. I don't see how anyone could look at her colorful paintings and not smile a little. Overall a perfect gift for almost anyone. I'd personally buy more than one just to keep on hand for that unexpected occasion where a small gift is needed, say for a hostess gift or something similar. (LOL we all know you can only give so many scented candles and bottles of wine.)
