The second episode of the adventures of Jack Foster, who is an operative with the Time Initiative, a branch of MI6. This time, Jack is faced with a deadly terrorist attack on the Initiative base in Cornwall, England. Meanwhile, his wife Elizabeth is drawn to an excavation in Montana which is reporting an unusual find inside a T-Rex fossil. She tangles with fossil smugglers, and is injured. Jack meanwhile is sent to Montauk, New York where the CIA are running a similar organization to the Time Initiative called Sempa. A rogue director of the facility secretly allowed a Hollywood film crew to travel to the Cretaceous in order to film dinosaurs. This effort goes drastically haywire, and the consequences affect the timelines. In addition to the churning timelines, Jack is fighting a deadly disease for which there is no known cure.
