Only The Dead.... In modern, war-torn Libya, Finn Douglas, a veteran Royal Marine Commando, is forced into committing an appalling act in order to save the lives of his fellow soldiers. Haunted by his actions and devastated by the loss of his immediate family to a terrorist attack, Finn turns his back on war and killing and escapes to a wilderness off the coast of Scotland to deal with his trauma. His escape however, cannot be tolerated by the Marines and a team of Military Police are soon despatched to track Finn down and bring him to justice. For one of the policeman the task is personal, an opportunity to redress an old grudge against the Marines and he will stop at nothing to see this through. As Finn thrives in his sanctuary, his utopia is soon shattered by the intrusion of an organized poaching gang seeking to trap and traffic the island's wolves and Finn has no choice but to intervene in order to save the animals he has come to admire. His well-intentioned actions soon provide the Military Police with a lead and attract the wrath of the poachers' psychotic leader, and the manhunt becomes a race against time between the forces of law and order and a callous murderer determined to take his revenge on Finn.
