Since the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a rapid increase in the number of clients receiving interpersonal counseling online. In addition, many providers have been quick to adapt their practice to include teletherapy to reach more clients and out of convenience. Initially, clients coping with suicidality were not considered appropriate candidates for teletherapy. With the recent increase in the use of teletherapy, many mental health professionals are now providing online services to this population.
