(*A National Indie Excellence Awards Finalist) I draw like I write, aimlessly. Typically I start with a sleek scribble followed by a circular doodle. Eventually the lines start to resemble a particular something. That something transforms into something else and sometimes, just sometimes, an artistic picture of chance is formed. By consequential accident, the manifested shape changes at the will of the fingertips. Luck gets rolled onto paper as the ball-point pen starts a prospective sequence of future events. From nothing, the image develops and grows out of a bunch of meaningful and meaningless marks. The edge drawn constructs an outline before the details become defined. I write like I draw, meticulously. This book is a collection of individual projects of thought merged together. With each page like an added line and with each word like a layered shade, a larger scale vision comes to be. The abstract can appear concrete and somehow, just somehow, these stylized blobs accrue from advent to zenith. By synchronistic purpose, the ambiguous nature is filtered in the eye of the mind. Chance again gets lucky as the fate dodges what is not meant to be. Random chaos systemizes into order and every connected dot makes up the universal plot.
