Jim Kalin brings out the dark world of the underground club scene in Cleveland with exciting characters, dark reality, and sadisitic humor. His main character, Ivan Hay, is an intriguing personality filled with deception, drugs, and surprising moralistic values. Perhaps the most appealing quality of "One Worm" is its fictional Cleveland club, "Hell". It's decriptions of its visitors, and especially its door guard "The Mask", gave "One Worm" its true personality. I honestly could not put this book down. If you like Cleveland (or even if you don't), "One Worm" is definitely an exciting look into the dark world of this city. As one critic explained, Jim Kalin is an author to watch for. You can start by reading "One Worm".
