One Track Mind - a trainspotter's journey

By Nick Carter

If you've ever stood on the end of a platform or nipped around a loco depot jotting down numbers, or even spent ages trying to take the perfect railway photo, then this book is for you.

Set against an ever-changing landscape, the author takes you inside the world of a truly devoted trainspotter - from the early years right up until the present day.

There are stories of camping, all-nighters, broken motorbikes, freezing cold platforms, alcohol and crisps, plus a beautifully descriptive narrative of how the world once was - all balanced against the inevitable technological improvements.

One Track Mind is an incredible book filled with photos (some better than others ) and anecdotes which will appeal to rail-enthusiasts and non-rail enthusiasts alike.
