One Smart Cookie

By Robert J Carr

Book Overview

"One Smart Cookie" is delicious to the eye, tongue and ear through its delectable cookie images, unique picture book layout, and the inner thoughts and actions of an extremely creative mouse named Button. International author/illustrator, Robert J. Carr, maximizes the creative process of subtraction to produce many different entertaining images within this picture book. "Button" the mouse, does all the work through thoughtful and artful planning while munching on chocolate chip cookies. Throughout this book, subtraction is not only seen in a whole new light, but, a whole new bite. The book ends when the elder lady of the house, Sally, discovers the unimaginable. Surprised and delighted, Sally's sense of humor makes way for a happy conclusion. A resolution for all twelve of her transformed chocolate cookies completes the story as Button, with his extended tummy, sleeps.
