ONE: Reflections on Unity in the Church

Observation of the Church today might lead one to conclude that unity is not the norm, nor will it ever be. Can the Church universal be described as "one"? Can it ever become one? We are predestined to be chosen to be ONE according to His good will for the ultimate purpose "That we should be to the praise of His glory." The accomplishment of that end takes place only via a supernatural occurrence. That occurrence is the unification of believers, each being made perfect as measured by comparison to Christ Himself (". . . till we all come in the unity of the faith . . . unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" Ephesians 4:13).
