"COMMUNITY BUILDING FOR DUMMIES"

Wow! This book comes at a time when it's needed most. It's a very comprehensive, all-inclusive, step-by-step, in depth exploration of both the problem and the solution. It clearly addresses the problems of prejudice, intolerance, and division. It also discusses various ways in which these problems can be solved. Peace and unity in the world begins in our families and communities. The world is in great need of the healing this book promotes. The best part of this book is that it doesn't stop at the problem and the solution. It actually takes things to the next step by offering a very viable and practical plan of action - for improvement. It's not just "pie in the sky" or idealistic. The programs and templates offered are very doable and quite enjoyable. The guidance and instruction are invaluable. What's also nice is that anyone can implement these things in their own community. You don't need a formal education, or lots of money, a special talent, or even a large number of people to help you. All it takes is a desire to contribute to the change you wish to see in the world. Actually, this book should be subtitled "Community Building For Dummies". It's easy to read and understand, yet offers immense insight and specific, realistic ideas for creating peace and unity in the world. I significantly align with this effort and plan to take action using some of the powerful concepts in this book. It could very easily be used as a textbook for a very powerful course. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants to be a difference-maker and community builder.

A great manual to create a united planet!

This is a great book! I like the way the author divided it in 3 modules: the problem, the solution and a plan of action. I have read several similar books addressing the problems of prejudice, intolerance and hatred that keep humanity so divided, but this book stands out. While other books stop at the identification of the problems, this one not only encourages the readers to take action but gives them suggestions on how to get involved by providing easy to follow step-by-step programs that can be initiated by anyone with a desire to serve. I highly recommend this book to educators, parents, concerned citizens, and all those involved in community building. It is worth the price. Valuable content and easy to read!
