An abandoned mahogany camp turned trading post in the Colombian jungle has become home station for explorers, surveyors, and wanderers who find themselves in this remote part of the world. Alan Le May (1899-1964) was an American author and screenplay writer. Among many other projects, two of his Western novels (The Searchers and The Unforgiven) were adapted into movies, and he wrote and directed the film High Lonesome.
