An abandoned mahogany camp turned trading post in the Colombian jungle has become home station for explorers, surveyors, and wanderers who find themselves in this remote part of the world. Six men and two women have settled in the tropical heat, when one is horribly murdered. Mechanical difficulties make it impossible to escape to civilization, though it is clear that one of their number is a killer. Death stalks the camp, striking again and again as suspicions mount and tempers flare.
One of Us is a Murderer was first published in 1930.
"Effectively creating an atmosphere of horror, Alan Le May writes the kind of thriller that can be read with comfort only in broad daylight" (1930 review).
