My 4 year old and I loved this story. It's a fun read and great music. She even pulled out some instruments to play along.

Bought this for my 5 year old neice and she just loves it! And so did I when i played it before I gave it to her. It's a nice story about threating people or frogs as equals no matter what their style or tastes are. The music is just GREAT! Also introduces kids to different forms of music at the same time.

The plot is simple about a little frog with a saxophone struggling to fit it with various bands. Pictures were bright and cute. What I loved was the music! It is mature with a nice variation: roughly a blues song, a classical, a rap, a country/folksy(?) , and a jazz, all with a bit of modern fusion of styles. Nice sax play! Kids can follow along with the lyrics. My kids (ages 8 and 5) thought the songs were kind of long, but I enjoyed them and appreciated the talent. According to the back cover, the book is dedicated to teaching kids of all ages about the value of cultural diversity through innovative musical storybooks. The talented musicians are "some of the finest musicians from the Northwest."

Nice artwork, good music. Definitely a cute book for reading time with the little ones. I'm always happy to find a kid's book that I won't get sick of hearing over and over again! Glad I added it to the library.
