This is an Amish Fiction book, and this is the third book in the Paradise Valley series. I have read and reviewed the first two books in this series. I have to say I really did not like any of the characters in this book, and I could not connect to any of them. I ended up DNFing this book because I just found the characters just said the same things over and over. I was just really done with this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
Captivating Amish Romance

One More Time for Joy is an engaging Amish romance novels by Amy Lillard. I enjoyed watching Joy, a young widow with a disabled son, and her widower, brother-in-law, Uriah's journey to second chance love. Joy's reluctance to keep her independence and not remarry brings considerable romantic tension to the story. Even though the book is a part of the Paradise Valley series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone story. It is interesting to see characters from the first two books but the author does a good job filling in back stories so the reader is not left with a lot of questions or confusion. The reaction of Joy's and Uriah's children regarding their parent's relationship is great!! The community of friends and the Widow's Club, humor, and a thread of faith all kept my interest high. I read a complimentary copy of the book and was not required to write a positive review. The opinions are my own.
