One More Made Up Love Song

(Book #2 in the Midnight Rush Romance Series)

Rule #1: Do not fall in love with your very famous boss. Rule #2: See Rule #1.

As the personal assistant of rockstar Freddie Ridgefield, Ivy Conway knows most women would love to have her job. It definitely has its perks. She gets to travel, the pay is great, and she's among the first to hear Freddie's new music.

The only problem? When she got the job, Ivy promised herself she would never fall in love with her boss. And it's taking everything in her to stay true to her word.

Then Freddie kisses Ivy-an impulsive move to save himself from a little bit of bad press-and everything changes. Now, the whole world thinks they're in love.

Even more significant: Ivy could swear Freddie felt the same fireworks she did when he pressed his lips to hers.

What starts as an accidental publicity stunt quickly turns into something more, but fame makes everything more complicated. As Freddie's spotlight grows to include her-and her family-Ivy starts to wonder if the life Freddie can offer her is worth the life she'll give up. And how she'll ever survive without him if it isn't.

One More Made Up Love Song is a fake-dating rockstar romance with all the crackling chemistry and tension you want in a closed-door romcom. Perfect for fans of romance with a little less heat.

charming romcom

"So much of entertainment is about telling stories. What's this but one more story?" Jenny Proctor has totally hooked me. She has made me a fan. I don't read a ton of romcoms and I confess I've only read one book by the author in the past. But I loved the fantastic banter, cute and charming romcom scenes, lighthearted but tender vibe, and the clean romance. I've now bought several books by the author since finishing this one and can't wait to dive into them. Freddie is a bit of an atypical pop star, generous and thoughtful even if he is a bit clueless to Ivy's devotion. Ivy is a completely capable manager of Freddie's life and work and I loved watching her work. Their friendship is easy, fun, all-encompassing and incredible. Ivy's one-sided romantic devotion morphing into a fake relationship which then blossoms into the real thing had me captivated. Freddie's polite but disinterested family and Ivy's past trauma of losing her older sister added layers of depth to their characters and storyline. Ivy's family is a loving, accepting cloud of joy and I enjoyed seeing Freddie be enveloped by their warmth. The opportunity to meet the other members of Midnight Rush was so much fun; I need to dive into Adam's story soon and I can't wait for the next book (will it be about Leo? Or Jace?). If you enjoy charming romcom, you will absolutely love this book. I received a complimentary copy courtesy of NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.
