In this vivid view of prehistoric life, a man from the mean-spirited Rock People (John Richardson) is banished from his home. The twosome decide to face the world together, cut off from all tribal support, alone in a deadly world of hideous beasts and earth-shattering volcanic eruptions. The film's pioneering special effects have made it a true science-fiction classic.

Raquel Welch was not designed by Ray Harryhausen.

Think of “Forbidden Planet” (1956), and you think of Anne Francis (1930-2011). There were space movies before this, and after this, yet Ann Francis is the definitive space babe. After watching Raquel Welch (1940-2023), Raquel, although a little furry, will always be in our minds. Then there is Nupondi Martine Beswick, the wild one that no man can resist. This story is about the definitive girl who meets Dino. It is not all just a fury tale; there is a script and love involved. Then there are the haps and mishaps of the Shell people Vs the Stone people. If the prehistoric menagerie looks familiar, with one exception of the iguana, we can thank Ray Harryhausen’s talents. This movie is a classic on many levels and should be in your collection. If you are only interested in fur bikinis, then your next picture should be “Caveman” (1981) with Barbara Bach’s protruding…oops! I mean, filling out a fur bikini.

One million BC… an oldie for sure.

I received this CD quickly and well packaged. The case was cracked, but had no effect on the movie quality. Of course the sound and picture quality was not great. It is an old movie! That is the point. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie and will keep as the classic that it is. Thank you
