Bugs climb on top of each other from one to ten until the last bug - a tiny flea - topples the pile. Then off they go home, one by one, except for the first little bug who waits patiently until the next time the reader opens the book. This happy book is perfect for children who are new to numbers and simple sums. Bold graphics and bright colours excite the eye and make the book's lessons fun.
I bought this book for a young niece. I thought the premise was was simple, succint and found the characters absolutely delightful, cute and comical. My niece enjoyed both the counting aspect (the layout of the bugs on the page makes it easy for stubby little fingers to point to them and count), and when all the bugs return to their respective homes. I really enjoyed the book (it's still one of my neice's faves) and would highly recommend it for kids learning their 1-2-3s!
