Extreme Action

"Which one is it? Because guilt is real and it makes us run to forgiveness. But shame is what the devil uses to get us to hide from God." This sums up the story well, both Oaken and Boo are hiding from shame and need to let go of the guilt they feel Another epic story from the author, this time set in Alaska with the Air One Rescue team. Plenty of edge of your seat action, suspense, spiritual insights that will smack you in the face (I love these), romance, humor, danger, murder and adventure. All of the characters are wonderful and I can't wait to read there stories. I loved that some of the Kingston clan showed up too. And......“Because why not? Every girl needed a good rescue at least once in her life.”

Awesome Alaskan adventure

"There's the story we create and the story we're created for. Maybe that's what this adventure is all about." I've read quite a few of Susan May Warren's books and every new release is like a breath of fresh air, filled with fast-action adrenaline, heart-stopping romance, and soul-edifying spiritual truths. And I do so love how her characters from previous series overlap and weave themselves into new plots, triggering nostalgia while diving headfirst into a new and exciting adventure. We're back in Alaska for this series and it was fun to hang out with the Kingstons while getting to know their cousin Boo from Minnesota. Boo, with her mad survival skills and EMT instincts, is hiding from social media and the fiasco that upended her life while rescuing people with the newly formed Alaska Air One Rescue team. Oaken is a charming country music star needing some reality TV show time to boost his image on social media. Of course, accidents, unpredictable Alaskan weather, and meddling friends and co-workers turn both of their lives upside down and it's truly a rollercoaster ride physically and emotionally from the beginning to the end for Boo and Oaken. It was also fantastic getting to know Moose, the head of the rescue team, in this book. Though the next book sounds like it will be about his brother Axel, Moose had some great spiritual advice for Oaken throughout the book. I can't wait for his story! If you enjoy romantic suspense with great faith thread, this book is a must-read. An Action-packed Return to Alaska

This novel has all the action, suspense, and romance we’ve come to expect from Warren. I liked the storyline of a country music singer with a tarnished reputation trying to boost his image by participating in a reality show. Oaken Fox is up for the challenges he faces and comes across as realistically capable. Boo Kingston starts off a little standoffish, but it didn’t take long for me to be one hundred percent for her. Behind her reluctant façade is a heart of gold. The secondary characters added to the dynamics of the story. If you like the faith element in your stories, you’ll be pleased by this one. One Last Shot is a great beginning to the new series and kept me engaged throughout. I’m looking forward to the next three stories.
