The book speaking about a guy, Walter, origin from south of Italy, that with jobs problem and the wife dead he needs to do everything is possible for living, him and his son. One day he starts to work in a night club and then something happens to let him part of a local "mafia-family". He knows how's work and secretly send the son in a orphanage to let them look after him and sometimes he call to hear about. After years with the mafia, he speaks with his boss to let him be free, but everyone know that is impossible. The boss, Don Tommasino, said yes... But he needs to do an impossible job. He needs to kill a boss of another family, to let become him boss stronger. "This is the price to be free". Walter accepted the job, because the plan for him is to be free and go to live together with his son. But something happened, like a sabotage and Walter failed the mission. After months, Walter's boss received a message that all the boss family are invited for a meeting and him asked Walter if he want a second chance to be free. Obviously, him agree and decided to start immediately. Will him be able this time to complete the mission and earn his chance to be free?
