What would you do on the battlefield with one last bullet for your weapon? In addition, you were a stranger in a strange land. This is an account of the actions of one young who decided that he must constantly do the 'next best thing' he saw to do. That was better than sitting down among the carnage of weapons, noise, and fragments of human bodies.

Every part of this account is fiction except that it was set in WW1 when Germany declared war on France.
