This is the story of an Irishman growing up in Dublin during the late thirties and forties, the early years of the Irish Free State.Although this is one man's story, it is similar to those of millions of others who left their native shore in the pursuit of a better life in foreign lands. This man was extremely fortunate in being given the opportunity to live an exciting life. Through this man's eyes, we are treated to adventure in the jungles of New Guinea during the late 1950's. He gives us a first-hand account of the British H- bomb tests in the Central Pacific later in that decade. In the early 1970's, it was designing the hardware for an experiment that flew on Skylab. The 1980's and 1990's was the experiencing, working and visiting many Middle Eastern and European countries. Sprinkled between these adventures were others with the US Navy, the British Navy, and the Canadian Hydrographic service. The purpose of writing this memoir is to share these adventures with family and friends.
