Aloha e Dear Reader. This is the second in my Lieutenant David Chan Hawai'i-based crime stories. It takes place just a little over eleven months after the first story. Chan's wish to be transferred out of Homicide Division to Records has been granted, but even if the pace at work is slower, he can't escape the high-octane speed of murder, or carrying the weight of the family mantle, or the heartache of a parent's love. If you enjoyed the characters, the interactions, the clues, and the bloodshed in the first story, I hope you'll not be disappointed. The living move onto death, and the dead come back to life. What could be more entertaining than that? I kid you not, I love some of my deceased characters so much, I can't help but figure out ways to resurrect them. If my characters are upset by my doing this, I'm sure they'll let me know in future stories. Mahalo for reading along with me. Take good care, stay well, and A Hui Ho.
