A Wonderful Story - Great Pictures!

I teach preschool, and every time I read this book to the children I am thrown into memories of stormy fall days and the smell of wet leaves. The story of the child and the child's toys is simple and elegant, and the illustrations are magical. The children in my class always love the story, and often try to guess how the author made the pictures.
