Great Book for Young readers!

This book, along with the other three books of the series, follows three sisters (Delphine, Vonetta, and Fern) as they go to Oakland, California to visit their long lost mother Cecile. The book is told from the point of view of the oldest sister (11 year old Delphine) as the sisters get acquainted with their mother who is not most maternal person. I think that this book is very good for young readers, especially girls ages 9 and up.
