One Cold January

A few days after Dan Coast, Red Baxter, and Skip Stoner return from Lake Pruitt, after the events in Hot For Teacher, Skip receives an urgent phone call from Butch Carter. Lake Pruitt's police chief, Waylon Harding, and his wife, Harper, have been murdered. Butch, along with the other business men and woman, know the murders were carried out by a man named Webb Sullivan.

Chief Harding had recently made it his mission to remove Webb and his top dog, Woody Tupper, and their small army of drug manufacturers and hired guns. With no solid proof to make an arrest, the case is growing cold. With nowhere else to turn, the towns people of Lake Pruitt enlist the help of Dan, Red, and Skip. Knowing they're heavily outnumbered, Skip asks his brother, Sam, (Charlie Hewitt) for assistance.
