One Big Beautiful Book of Christian Discipleship Lessons

This One Big Beautiful Book of Christian Discipleship Lessons is a compilation from my twelve individual lessons on discipleship. It also, is my attempt to obey Matthew 28:18-20, "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen." My attempt to go into the nations to make disciples of Jesus is through written material gleaned from years of study. There are twelve lessons in the One Big Beautiful Book of Christian Discipleship Lessons which can be read and studied in any order, although they are written in an order to build a great Biblical foundation. The lessons are formatted to be used in personal study, Sunday School classes, or cell group meetings. The Apostle Peter said we must, "As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious," 1 Peter 2:1-3. Christian Discipleship Lessons are based by letting Scripture be its own teacher under the guidance of its writer, the Holy Spirit. If you are wanting to strengthen your faith and knowledge of the Bible, these lessons are for you. The first lesson concerns the danger of being deceived. Lesson Two teaches about faith. Lesson Three teaches why the world is in an evil mess. Lesson four is about responsibility. Lesson five a preparation to face death. Lesson Six proclaims the infallibility of Scripture. Lesson Seven puts forth the teaching of the Lord concerning a proper foundation. Lesson Eight is a warning against pride of all types. Lesson Nine takes us into a deeper understanding of Jesus our Lord. Lesson Ten is a clarifying understanding concerning obedience to the will of God. Lesson Eleven teaches the way of the Spirit in our life. Lesson twelve is a warning to remain faithful to Christ and not to be part of the "great falling away." The saving grace of God is given to us by faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. In Christ we find forgiveness, restoration, reconciliation, liberation, and renewed fellowship with God. Unfortunately, these graces are replaced by legalism in many lives of believers. Christian Discipleship Lessons seek to return all to the simplicity found in Christ who came to proclaim, "Liberty to the captives, and to those who are oppressed," Luke 4:18-19. Therefore, if you are hungry for God may Christian Discipleship Lessons be the spoon which feeds you the nourishing milk of the Word.
