I found this book to be a real page-turning adventure! It was very entertaining to read, even a second time, which I very rarely do. Parts of it read like a novel and parts of it like a spiritual journey with wisdom learned and shared. Parts of it just make you laugh out loud or cry. Furthermore, the book is a "walk down memory lane" for those of us Baby Boomers, as Linda recounts the songs listened to during her adventures. The images and descriptions are sure to conjure up memories of the `60s, `70s, `80s and `90s. Linda came from a middle class church-going family from Pennsylvania, yet after being gang raped, her life changed. Linda shares with us her life of molestation, promiscuity, alcohol abuse, climbing the corporate ladder, death of family members, abortion, materialism, bankruptcy, and constantly moving. She speaks for a generation of "free spirits" who buried their pain in the fast lane with a constant turnover in lovers, jobs, and even cities. Despite all the abuse (including sexual harassment at work) Linda's spiritual journey led her to a deep forgiveness which enabled her broken soul to become one again. Only then does she become a TRULY free spirit! But this book is not just about forgiveness--Linda's courage to finally "just say no" to soulless jobs and live on trust and intuition is a real inspiration, especially in these troubled economic times! This book will undoubtedly inspire many people to let go of their past pains and resentments to become truly free. When my mom died, her last words to me were to FORGIVE, forgive EVERYONE. If Linda can forgive all the people in her life that hurt her, so can we!
