It's Saturday at last--no school, no homework, no lessons. The day belongs to June. She can search for wild animals, learn how to fly, or maybe even discover long-lost treasure. But before she is free... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Delightfully told story supported by even more delightful pictures

Waking up on a Saturday morning, June daydreams in bed about the wonderful adventures that might encompass her day. Then she remembers the list of chores she needs to complete before she can play. June infuses imaginative helpers and scenarios to help make the chores fun and accomplish them more quickly. There is much to look at in the humorous watercolor cartoons which depict this little girl whose expressions are endearing. Her mother and a pet dog make realistic supporting characters. A delightful story upheld with equally delightful pictures, we'll want to see much more from this author/artist.
Imaginative way of looking at chores
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
June is having a typical Saturday morning, with a list of chores she needs to complete before she can do fun stuff like playing, etc...but her imagination is way ahead of her and she imagines bizarre lumps in her oatmeal, thinks up a creative way to get to her far-off mailbox [to pick up mail], and monsters under her bed [which she needs to clean]. The illustrations are in gorgeous full-color,and quirky. My preschooler was absolutely absorbed in the illustrations and I enjoyed the way chores are viewed in an imaginative manner. An enjoyable picture book and a great read aloud.
