My book is about a little girl growing up in the projects, going from a two parent home to a single parent household, and learning from things she saw her mother do to survive. When she became a parent at a young age, she learned within herself how to be a better mom than what she had been taught. Despite the many obstacles she had to face, she moved to a better atmosphere for her family. God helped her along the way. Now she is doing things a lot differently, trying to break the bad habits she once had growing up in the streets of Newark.
