On Winter's Wind is a thriller. It maked my heart pound. All I wanted to do was read more.Genevive is an 11 year old girl,who along with her mother and her sister, Leila, goes through a lot of hardships and adventures. Their papa is lost at the deadly Sea and the mother doesn't work so they are poor. Genevive, takes a huge risk. She quits school and she gets a job. Finally, after a while a messnger comes with a letter, that will tell the famliy if their papa is dead or alive. They were all sitting on the sofa, the letter was in the hand of the messnger. Genevive couldn't wait. She wanted to snatch it!Right when she was about to open it... Sorry but you have to read more to find out.
