I assume the readers who didn't like this book were looking for a step-by-step, How To Win All Your Trials kind of manual. It's not that. It is a very thoughtful, very funny guide to common mistakes lawyers make in the courtroom, ways to address weaknesses in your case, and how not to make an ass of yourself in front of the jury. Get McElhaney's and Mauet for blueprints, get this one for practical pointers that won't put you to sleep.
