This Book is a Gift to Us

This is book I will read many times, Rabbi Novick is an amazing scholar and this book walks us through the maze of Jewish history and the complex terrain of Jewish mysticism with the ease of a very seasoned guide. A Treasure for the Mind and for the Soul

On the Wings of Shekinah is a remarkable book. It is an excellent source material for those interested in learning more about the place of the Divine Feminine with the Judaic Religion. But more than that, the author provides the reader with some of the most beautiful and inspiring self-mediatations that go along with the book. If the readers will take the time to follow these meditations, they may experience the Divine Feminine for themselves. Yakov Lev Shalom

An Excellent Resource--Wings of Shekhinah

On the Wings of Shekhinah is an excellent historical resource for Jewish feminists or anyone seeking a broad and informed perspective on the Shekhinah through time. I know I will return to this book again and again as I continue to deepen my understanding of Judaism. Novick writes in a clear, accessible, and personal style, and her perspective as one of the pioneering women rabbis of the Jewish renewal movement is also very inspiring. The meditations are also very evocative.

Restores Shekhinah to the forefront of our consciousness

Rabbi Leah's book moves us to better understand the role of Shekhinah within Judaism's evolution, citing important elements of biblical, talmudic and kabbalistic text in the manifestation of Shekhinah. But even more than this, it is the meditations, the spiritual journey within this book that is most captivating. We have the opportunity to meet the Shekhinah that travels with us, that is part of our journeys, that shares our joys and grieves with us. Ultimately it is both, the history and the journey that keeps me coming back to this book for more.

On the Wings of Shekhinah was a fun read ~ deep and poetic at the same time. Through this work, Reb Léah has gently yet convincingly brought me to a personal awareness of the Feminine Divine, both beyond and within. On the Wings of Shekhinah has helped to facilitate my journey through the road map of the sephirot and the pathways of history in preparation for the reemerging Shekhinah among us. She is a powerful presence, and this book has enabled me to recognize Her radiant energy in numerous forms.
