Our protagonist is just your ever-day, pretty boring, ordinary man, living in a small town in rural, Southern England. His life takes an unexpected turn, one beautifully sunny day. As he struggles to make sense of a life-changing (though from the outside looking in, a possibly rather mundane) turn of events, he discovers more about himself than thousands of therapists, talking for thousands of years, could possibly have unlocked. They say that talking is good for the soul, laughter is the best medicine and you should never work with animals or children, he would probably say that two out of three aint bad....then curse Meat Loaf.
