On Law and Grace

By: St Hilarion of Kiev

This Kievan work elaborates on the theological shift from the Mosaic Law to the grace brought by Jesus Christ, highlighting the fulfillment of prophecies and the spread of Christianity among nations, including the Russian people. It praises Khan Vladimir for his role in the Christianization of Rus', depicting the transformative power of faith and the rejection of idolatry. The writing underscores the contrast between the old covenant of the Law and the new covenant of grace, illustrating how the latter has led to a renewed understanding of God and a call for worship that transcends boundaries, inviting all to partake in the salvation offered through Christ.
