This book was awesome, as all of her other books. I can't wait until the next one comes out. It's a great book to curlup in front of the fireplace and have a cup of tea.

THIS BOOK AS ALL WANDA'S BOOKS FILLS A VOID IN PEOPLE WHO HAVE GONE THROUGH HAD TIMES. THE WAY BARBARA REMAINS STEADFAST IN RAISING HER BOYS AFTER LOSING HER BELOVED HUSBAND, GIVES EVERYONE A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE HEARTACHE, AND AFTERWOODS HAPPINESS. HER DEVOTION AND HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS GIVE HER THE COURAGE TO GO ON. THE FAMILIES IN THE AMISH COMMUNITY GIVE US A GOOD EXAMPLE OF WHAT IT MEANS TO STICK TOGETHER. THIS BOOK AS USUAL BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES, BUT ALSO GAVE ME THE COURAGE TO FACE A GOOD DEAL OF MY OWN PROLEMS. I RECOMMEND THIS AND ALL WANDA'S BOOKS TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO JUST FEEL GOOD.

This book like all other books Of Wanda Brunstetter was written very well! You can never put the book down till you are done then wish for more!!!!

On her own-except for God

I liked this book very much and am also impressed continually by Wandas'wholesome writing.I was glad that she ended up with Paul. I also thought it made for a very real story to put in the fact that her oldest boy didn't take up with Paul right away. Nadia Rehmani

Spellingbinding

On Her Own is a satisfying love story full of plot twists and surprises. The main character, Barbara Zook, demonstrates great courage and resilience amidst adversity. The Amish facts and lifestyle are well-researched and presented through believable characters and scenes. I listened to the audio version; it kept me spellbound from beginning to end.
