"On 26th Street" is a gay fiction adventure about Daniel and his older cousin Jessie living on 26th Street in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood. When Jessie arrives in Chicago with his family, he becomes a neighbor of Daniel and his family. The developing friendship between Daniel and Jessie changes Daniel's life drastically. Intrigued by Jessie's ability to achieve financial success on the neighborhood streets, Daniel spies on Jessie in an attempt to learn his cousin's secret to success. Since Jessie is an extremely handsome and charismatic Mexican who makes himself available to nightly street cruisers, realizing how he makes good money on the street should come as no surprise to anyone. Yet, Daniel is young and na ve when it comes to figuring out what Jessie's secret is. In time, Daniel idolizes Jessie and develops a strong desire to imitate his success. As Daniel realizes Jessie's method of achieving late-night success on 26th Street, Daniel falls into the business for himself. The two cousins bond by sharing one another's hidden secrets and successes. While the two are much the same in many ways, they are quite different in that Jessie is a straight man finding his unique success on the late-night street while Daniel is gay. Beyond the two main characters, "On 26th Street" has a host of exciting characters filling each chapter with adventure, mystery, and even desired romance.
