This study focuses on key tourism stakeholders established in destinations hosting a mega-event. It aims to help such stakeholders to find solutions for leveraging tourism from mega-events legacy. This research is based on secondary research only; it draws a literature review based on four research areas: the planned against the unplanned legacy, the physical legacy; the destination awareness and the leverage of tourism. Then, it analyses the cases of the 1992 Barcelona's Olympics and the 2004 Athens' Olympics as they are arguably two opposable experiences in terms of mega-event legacy.
